The National Benefit Trust
The National Benefit Trust I has been established to help businesses implement their own welfare benefit plan, without the need to find their own tax counsel, actuaries, plan and trust administrators and trustee. Employers need only determine which welfare benefits are suitable for their employee group, and their budget for benefits. Niche Plan Sponsors, the Trust Administrator of the National Benefit Trust, will assist with plan design, documents and administrative services.
Benefits available include post retirement medical benefits, death benefits, long term care benefits, and other welfare benefits.
As the Trust Administrator, Niche has created the Trust, contracted the Trustee, engaged independent actuaries for benefit cost computations and deduction estimates, obtained an independent law firm to issue a More Likely Than Not tax opinion letter, and regularly engages independent tax counsel with respect to the operation and administration of the Trust, for the benefit of the employers sponsoring plans.
Plan reporting includes the annual filing of Department of Labor Form 5500, Benefit Statements, Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Annual Reports, 1099s and the Trust tax return.
